Where ANYthing Goes

Okay so I knuckled down and said f*ck it.  ….I purchased a kinect and I must say I am really impressed.  I am no gamer and no this is not perfect/flawless for you OVER analyzers but it is simply just fun!  Technology like this blows me away and reminds me of a technology I would get a glimpse of in a movie like Minority Report with Tom Cruise.  I’ve tried the adventures game that came with it and its simply cool and entertaining.  From there I tried some demos which led me to purchase kinect sports and then kinect joy ride as well.  They are what I would expect and more.  I purchased a Wii when it initially came out just for the ineractive sports package and mario kart. Compared to the Wii, id have to say Kinect is a bit more advanced.  Yes the joy ride automatically accelerates and brakes for you but what do you expect when you just have your body as the controller.  Some critics make no sense to me when they say that this would be a negative feature.  I believe this kinect is not so much for the serious gamer but more for the everyday person who doesn’t mind having a little fun everyonce in awhile…..like me.  with that said, I believe this technology will grow and make the true gamers games a even more realistic experience in the near future. Sometimes the motion can be slightly off but not enough to bother me. I would prefer a faster and easier way to get back to the main menus too. Having to re set my kinect to recognize me and my playing space before every single game can be annoying….in the begining its informative but then it gets redundant.  But these don’t bother me to a point of discouragement.  This is just me trying to explain what I didn’t prefer if I had to find a negative thing to say about my experience.  All and all I am really impressed.. I use my Wii mainly as a netflix controller now so I am hoping that this kinect for xbox will eventually not join the Wii catching dust.  I was excited about the Wii at first because it was interactive and different just like the kinect but playing the kinect is truley a cardio experience from the work out game to the race car games. I give it a 9 out of 10 only because some navigation frustration at times which in all truth, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was my ignorance that causes it.  Like I said I am not a gamer and I don’t like reading directions

This device looks craaaazy(in a good way).  I’ve been debating this very affordable purchase and will give my official review of it when I use it.  It def. Seems of technology at a resonable cost.  Looks damn near futuristic to me.  Like something I would have seen in the movie Minority Report with Tom Cruise.  I purchased the wii the wii fit etc. And played it faithfully for a few months but then I havnt touched it since.  Hopfully the technology with the Kinect will keep the non gamers/users engaged for a bit longer.

So I go into CVS and see some “on sale” items and then I google it to only find that there sale prices are actually regular prices.  I think that’s sad, its like going into a jewelery store and they say 75% off sale!….let me translate, what that really means is they up the retail price 75% so when they give you the discount your still paying “regular” retail rip off prices.  I really enjoy when I’m not looking for a deal and save some $… .   Another word of advice, SOMEtimes when items are on sale its for a reason.

The fast growing mobile messenger app has been suspended from RIM(Blackberry) recently due to numerous privacy complaints….apparantly the program scans your contacts for existing Kik users and then sends them an invite.  From what I have read its to connect with people but for some users it connects them without giving the user the decision to invite someone.  A lot of of people seem concerned because this “feature” may invite contacts who they do not wish to connect with.  It def. Should be an option especially if some of your contact list may be mixed with business contacts or ex-boy/girlfriends.  Another concern was the sign in name is also used as your user name so you may want to use an alias.  I was thinking about giving this app a shot on my BB and G2 to be able to connect with all smartphone users but I think ill wait for an official update to fix these issues.  With that being said I can see how the program can be useful but also a concern.

Just wishing EVERYone a HAPPY Thanksgiving…….yea you too, even my haters

Could you just imagine how lucrative and exciting Hip Hip would be right now if all these Artist would get along. It would be like a BIG ass conglomerate. I think the excitement and GOOD music would drive sales and confuse consumers on which artist to invest in first. Which ultimately means revenue for the Artist and all contributors behind the music. All though this does sound great it does not sound realistic or promising……….only time will tell
